Who can apply?
There are no age or nationality limits, and the selection procedure is open to all those who are in possession of a Italian second level degree (laurea specialistica, under D.M. 509/99 or laurea magistrale, under D.M. 207/04) or Italian degree obtained prior to D.M. 509/99 or equivalent qualification obtained abroad, in accordance with the provisions in art. 2 of this application procedure

The selection procedure consists of an assessment of the candidate’s qualifications and an interview

Applications: July 6, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. (italian time)
Enrolments: to be completed within 10 days of the publication of the results of the selection procedure

Calendar of the interviews

Interview via interactive platform: September 1, 2021, from 9.00
Interviews could continue on September 2, 2021, from 9.00 should there be a high number of candidates

The only permitted form of interview will be electronically, regardless of the residence or nationality of the candidates. The interviews will be carried out via Google Meet platform and the link will be communicated with the ranking list admitted to the interview

  • Places with scholarship: 16 ( 9 of which are financed by the Ministry of University and Research, 2 by external public and private institutions, 2 by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, 3 by the Modena Foundation)
  • Places without scholarship: 5
  • Places reserved for the industrial doctorate: 4

The amount of each bursary is € 15.343,28 per annum, and the amount may be increased by 50% for periods of study abroad, except in the student’s country of residence. In order to take a period of study abroad, students are required to apply for permission to the Doctoral Research Council
