The mission of the Marco Biagi Foundation is to promote and strengthen the relationship between the University and the world of work, with particular reference to the local institutions, associations and enterprises. The Foundation fosters the integration of higher education and research programmes in local and national socio-economic contexts, especially in connection with labour relations.
The main aim of our activities is to design and implement national and international research in the field of employment relations, and also to promote postgraduate courses, training and career guidance, advanced training courses, including apprenticeship and doctoral research programmes. As part of the Integrated Plan 2016-2018, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia appointed the Foundation to deal with civil and public engagement, (terza missione). In this connection, pursuant to Article 2 of the Statute, the Foundation has set itself the objective of liaising between the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and external public and private actors, providing project integration and organisational support between the University and society as a whole.
